TRIANGLE VIBE
Taking inspiration from a paper collage made by a fellow artist, Riley Frost , the original algorithm that I wrote which generates these pieces is designed to fill the surface with a triangular grid, using a six-color palette, and ensuring that no two triangles with adjacent faces are the same color. This allowed me to quickly experiment with different palettes, some of which I printed and framed. The series is a dive into color theory, geometry, and algorithmic variation. Several of the pieces that I made were selected for the Mercedes Benz Financial Services Art Show in Fort Worth Texas in 2016-2017: First Light Interaction, Oceanic, Study of Black, Zugspitze.
